1. Service Overview
Roots Lab provides Japanese family tree research and creation services. We retrieve official koseki records and compile results into a family tree delivered digitally.
2. Pricing

All prices include koseki retrieval, research, and digital delivery. No additional charges.
3. Payment
Via Stripe (credit/debit card) or Wise (bank transfer). Full payment required before research begins. Installments available on request.
4. Delivery
High-resolution PDF delivered via secure download link (valid 30 days). Estimated completion: 4–6 weeks (1 lineage), 8–12 weeks (4+ lineages).
5. Unavailable Records
Some Meiji-era koseki may have been permanently deleted. If records cannot be retrieved, we create your family tree from what was found, at no extra charge.
6. Cancellations
Full refund if cancelled before research begins. No refund once official requests have been submitted to municipal offices.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
